At Bella Bethesda, we value honesty and transparency. Important policies are outline below for your convenience. These policies have been created to protect the time, talent, and safety of our staff and clients.

Bella Bethesda cannot be responsible for the loss or damage to personal articles including clothing or accessories. For your convenience, we can hang up any articles of clothing and provide a robe during your appointment. Jewelry and accessories are advised to be removed during your visit to prevent loss or damage.
Bella Bethesda welcomes all well-behaved children at a 20% discount up to the age of 10. Appointments with one of our New Talent stylists will need to be children ages 5-10. When accompanied by a child, be mindful that most drawers at Bella contain sharp objects and chemicals potentially dangerous to unattended children. Running, spinning and climbing on chairs may result in injury and is strongly discouraged. Your vigilance is appreciated.
We will gladly apply the full value of gently used retail products purchased at Bella Bethesda for a full refund or toward another product of your choice within 30 days of the purchase. Returns after 30 days and up to 90 days will be given a credit to your Bella account up to half of the price that was originally paid. Unless defective, all sales on brushes, styling tools (flat-irons, blow-dryers, etc), and hair accessories such as hair-bands, barrettes, clips etc. and makeup are final.
Gratuities can now be added to your card, but will be a separate transaction where the card is needed during checkout. Cash is accepted, but we are not able to break change. Please be sure to have different denominations to leave for your stylist and/or shampoo assistant.
Hair color formulas are considered intellectual property of Bella Bethesda and are not available for purchase.
We’re committed to serving you. Since our clients are our top priority, we welcome the opportunity to adjust your service to your satisfaction. It may be something quickly remedied by your designer, or you may feel more comfortable with a different designer. Either way, we want you to feel safe communicating with us within 2 weeks of your original appointment. Given the opportunity, we will work tirelessly to ensure your satisfaction, often at our expense.
Our goal is to offer a fun and creative work environment for our team as well as consistency and quality for our guests. Late arrivals create stress and risk a compromised experience for designers and guests alike. To ensure promptness and quality for all reservations, we may elect to reschedule reservations running 15 minutes late or later to another convenient time. Parking and traffic can be an issue here at Bella Bethesda, so please plan accordingly.
All services require a credit card to hold the service, both for our contactless checkout as well as our cancellation policy. All appointments require at least 24 hours notice, EXCEPT smoothing treatments, which require 48 hours notice. If the timeframe is not adhered to for cancelling or a no-show appointment, a charge for the full amount the service will be applied to the credit card. Frequently cancelling or no-showing appointments will also result in online booking privileges being removed.
